Testimony of a Horse

two horses002

When starting a new horse here at the ranch we use a well seasoned horse as part of our training team. We will let the seasoned horse give his testimony to the new horse, letting him know that we are not going to harm him and that there is a greater purpose to his existent other than setting in a pen eating hay. The seasoned horse needs to be calm and quite, patience and faithful to his master and gives control over to and listens for the master’s commands, only applying pressure to the new horse when he is told to. In doing so he will bring many new disciplined and obedient horses to the ranch. In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus has given us the great commission to go and make disciples of all nations. To do this we need to be a Testimony of Christ.

What is your testimony?

Do you display the fruits (Galatians 5:22-24) of the spirit in your day to day walk? Do the people around you know that you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ?

Like the seasoned horse we need to give our testimony. The horse teaches there are greater things ahead and to have faith in the man at the rains. A good horse is a testimony to his master and we need to be a testimony to God. We need to show Gods nature though our actions. It is time to give in to the rains and let God take control and be a good testimony.

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Galatians 5:22-24 (NIV)

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
